Block C at Hamilton House

Hamilton House in Stokes Croft, Bristol, is home to cafe The Canteen and a wide variety of artists and makers including visual fine artists, photographers, illustrators, fashion and costume designers. The future of the building is uncertain with property developers looking to turn it into housing. Last Friday, the occupants of Block C had to pack up and leave, some moving elsewhere altogether, some stopping their activities and some others being absorbed in the part of the building that's still operational. It's a highly controversial story here in Bristol. Just check some of the media coverage.
